Vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, peaceful strolls along canals and charming villages.
Take a deep breath, you’re in Burgundy-Franche-Comté: here, nature reigns supreme and you can enjoy a holiday rich in cultural and culinary discoveries… Want to get away from it all? You’re in luck: we can offer you a breath of fresh air in the heart of the Morvan! Head for the Morvan Regional Natural Park, nicknamed ‘little French Canada’. Take a trip among the many lakes and forests with wide open spaces: hike, cycle, climb (tree climbing), paddle… and above all, enjoy yourself with family or friends. For our adventurers, a wilder version of the region takes you along the river. Along the water’s edge, some of our campsites open their doors to the banks of the Loire, Europe’s last wild river. Set off by canoe or bicycle on the legendary Loire à Vélo route. And if you like fishing, you’ll find a real playground here. But Burgundy is also synonymous with fine wines! Wine lover? Take the Route des Grands Crus and travel between our campsites! Between vineyards and charming little spots, a stroll (or even better, a bike ride) often ends with a tasting… and that’s true even at our campsites, thanks to our local partners (producers and winegrowers). In southern Burgundy, escape means getting out into the countryside: greenways, vineyard landscapes, heritage and wellness breaks in the great outdoors. Our campsites are ideal for family holidays, close to the thermal baths and Le Pal theme park. And if you’re looking for peace and quiet by the water, some of our campsites offer this little corner of paradise, with plenty to keep young and old entertained. In Franche-Comté, there are also a thousand and one things to do. Whether you’re hiking around the Ballon des Vosges in the Jura or embarking on a cruise on the Doubs or Canal du Nivernais, nature is yours to enjoy! Franche-Comté is the perfect combination of gentle hills and wide-open spaces: Jura forests, clear lakes, waterfalls and viewpoints that are ideal for hiking, cycling and swimming in natural surroundings. People also come here to admire its charming towns and heritage (particularly around Besançon and Belfort, between the citadel and the riverbanks), not to mention the local culinary delights: Jura cheeses, fine dining and small producers. In short, it’s an authentic region, cool in summer and rejuvenating all year round: ideal for slowing down and enjoying the outdoors.

In Burgundy–Franche-Comté, family outings have that simple holiday feel: stroll around Beaune’s Hospices, wander through the narrow streets and take a break in the green spaces of Dijon, then embark on a real adventure at Alésia in the MuséoParc. Take a leap back in time at Guédelon, climb gently up to the Roche de Solutré for the view, then slow down in the Morvan, with its lakes, swimming spots and easy trails. In Franche-Comté, the Citadel of Besançon is a favourite with everyone, and the saltworks of Arc-et-Senans and Salins-les-Bains turn a ‘cultural’ visit into a truly memorable experience. And when you feel like getting some fresh air, head for the Jura: the Hérisson waterfalls, Lake Chalain, a cave for just the right amount of thrills (Gouffre de Poudrey or Baume-les-Messieurs), before finishing at the Ballon d’Alsace to enjoy the light and the panorama.
